This last year has been a mess. Everything that can go wrong, has gone completely wrong! I have had broken bones, ripped muscles and testicle issues which I am not going to go into detail about!  All of these issues, and many more that I just don’t have time to list right now, have kept me from being on the internet much at all. This includes preventing me from writing in this blog.

I know what you’re thinking…Since I am posting now does that mean everything is smooth sailing and i can go back to blog writing? Well, the answer is no…I’m still recovering from the testicle incident. That being said, I am able to move around a bit better, so I am hoping I will be able to get on here a bit more often and do some writing.

So, you’ll be hearing more from me, assuming something truly terrible doesn’t happen..Knock on wood!

[Xbox 360 with 4 red lights]Well, my Xbox 360 went and took a dump on me unfortunately. I’ve only had the system for a few years, which sucks considering I have had other systems for a lot longer. Hell, my Atari 2600 and commodore Vic 20 all still run fine! The 360 though? Apparently it’s not as tough as any other Gaming console that has existed in history. It’s a delicate shivering flower.

So, what’s wrong with it? Hell if I know. It’s screwed! Plain and simple. It started with the screen pixelating and the console it’s self freezing up, and then emitting this annoying and loud beep. I would have to reboot the system, and thought it was just a glitch, or some weird freeze up. After the third time, I began thinking to myself that things did not seem right. The next time it happened however the system didn’t freeze at all. In fact, it just never booted up, and the soothing green aura on the front of my 360 turned into 4 glowing red lights forming a circle.

That’s when I knew I was screwed. When I left the system there for awhile, and then turned it back on, It would begin to work, but just for a moment when it would begin pixelating, freezing and beeping at me once more!! So, in essence, best that I can tell, the Console is gone, dead and doomed. Which really stinks, considering I just ordered Final Fantasy XIII. It also sucks, because as I said earlier, the system is only a few years old, however it’s old enough to be off it’s warranty.

Yea, so the systems warranty is expired and it’s dead. This leaves me with 4 options. Those options are as follows.

1) Send the xbox 360 in for repairs. The problem with this is, it will cost 99 bucks. Plus I imagine shipping and handling, and that console is one heavy booger!

2) Just Drop kick the console into a trashcan and buy a new one. The problem with this one is, I don’t really have the cash at the moment, so will still be without the system for awhile.

3) Again, drop kick the console into a trashcan, but instead of buying a new one, sell all my xbox 360 games, buy a PS3 and pick up some new ps3 games.

4) just shove 360 in a closet and give up gaming and just pick my nose and take up booger flinging as a hobby to pass the time away.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes, I do or say stupid things. I am aware of this. Although, to be fair I am pretty sure that most people say and do stupid things. I however, manage to do or say them more than most!

I’ve acknowledged my jealousy issues before in the past. I have mentioned how I have been trying to re-bury them, since apparently I have problems mastering them. Unfortunately, the attempts at burial just aren’t working the way they should be working! They still cause me to say or do stupid things.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t go totally insane, at least no more insane than I usually am!

So, how do other people keep their feelings of jealousy in check? I mean, I can’t be the only one who gets jealous in this world. I can’t be! Otherwise they wouldn’t have invented a name for it!

Well, today has officially been the icing on the top of my monthlong baking crap-cake! Everything that COULD go wrong, officially HAS gone wrong. This morning it starts where I wake up, as usual early as fuck. I get up, stumble around the bedroom a bit, walk into the bathroom, and I slipped! Busted my knee up pretty bad, messed my ankle up, hit my head on the corner of the sink as I fell to the floor. Ended up going to the hospital, thankfully no concussions or anything. I also didn’t BREAK anything, although it sure feels like I did.

But the icing doesnt stop there! No siree-bob! It continues. See, the next question should be “Well shaide, what the hell did you slip on??” Well, allow me to answer that friendly reader! See, during the night, apparently a pipe busted in the bathroom, which caused water to flood the floor. On another note, the floor I think is going to have to be ripped up and replaced..im not sure of this exactly yet. Thats just a hunch. So, i had to have the water company come down here while I was off to see Doctor Doolittle, and had the nice water guy shut my water off. So, currently, I am without bloody water until I get the pipe fixed, which probably will only be a few days, but if you know me, then you know i have this habit of taking 5 showers a day. Now without water this is going to seriously affect that habit, because as it is I am going to have to run by my mums to use HER shower until it gets fixed.

UGH! When it rains it pours.

Ever have just “One of those weeks”? Course we all have I think! This week seems to be “One of those weeks” for a LOT of people, myself included. It seems like everyone I know is going through difficult times, and it really sucks because half the time I can’t say or do anything to make things better..Although I do try, most of the time however all I do is make thanks worse *Le Sigh*

So, if you are one of those people, going through “One of those weeks” this week…take comfort in knowing at least that you are NOT alone. Maybe it’s something in the air or the water…I haven’t a clue…but it seems like 2 out of 3 people i know are having one….

Either way….Try and keep happy, and keep a smile going! Things ALWAYS have to improve..it’s impossible for things to keep worse(Unless you die I suppose :p) So, if there’s any truth in what people say about smiles being contagious…Here’s something to help you along your way!

I am thrilled to say that I am still alive! So, you maybe asking yourself where the hell I have been for all these moons(Been a month actually if nobody has noticed.)? Well, fact of the matter is, I have been having a buttload of computer problems, and been taking the system in for repairs, getting told it’s fine..only to have it doing chainsaw impressions upon re-hooking it up.

So, long story short…the computer has been in and out of the shop, and I have been stuck on my not-so great “Back-up” PC. It allows me to connect to the web, check my mail and so fourth..saddly, that’s about it. The important thing that it does do however, is allow me to talk on skype, unfortunately that’s been a bit of an issue as of late as well. You see, the spare computer has decided its going to play sick too. It decided to do this moments after I was informed that my main PC could be in the shop for up to 2 months!

I’m hoping the spare holds out til then, and hoping the main is actually fixed at that point. As long as I can keep using skype, I don’t really need anything else…I mean…I still got you right Blog? You won’t ever let me down….Right?

Some of you might recall the trouble I was having not long ago with Gamefly? Well, that particular chapter of that horror tale finally closed. I recieved my games TODAY! That was a 2 and a half week turn around! To me, that seems a wee bit extreme, so I contacted Gamefly and sent them an email complaining about their service, and lack of customer support as I never seem to be able to get in touch with anyone.

I recieved my games today, and oddly enough also recieved a response from gamefly appologising for the delay, and passing the buck and the blame over to the Post Office. However, they did say they were sorry and have decided to grant me 2 week credit on my account for lost time.

Who’s to say if it was the Post Offices fault or not, the envelopes from Gamefly(Or Netflix for that matter) doesn’t get time stamped, so it’s hard to say when the game was actually sent out to me…if it was originally sent out when they claim, then obviously yea, it was the fault of the good ol’ United States Postal Service, without a doubt…IF however the game wasn’t mailed until a few days ago…then that’s the fault of Gamefly, however who can say? Not I! I guess we will see how soon it takes to recieve the next batch of games…Thats when I’ll pass my final judgement.

Well, my main computer has been having issues, so I took it over to a friend of mine who knows a bit about PCs and the likes, and he’s going to take a look at it for me, and see if he can fix it. It sounds like it might just be a fan, in which case it will be pretty cheap to get fixed up, so I am not too worried at this stage.

Until it’s fixed however I am having to use my Spare emergency computer that I keep tucked away in case my main computer fries, or it needs to get fixed or something similar to what occured. Now, the spare computer isn’t TOO bad. I have seen worse. Hell, I have used worse. It however isn’t that great either, but it gets the job done. It allows my to run skype,  So I can talk to my bubby, It allows me to run my browser so I can surf the net and post blog entries and it will even allow me to run SOME of my games(Unfortunately all my MMORPGs run too slow on the system to play properly).

I think the main problem with this spare computer isn’t that it’s too slow, but it’s that the O/S that it is running on is the dreaded Vista. I hate Vista, I really do. I think it’s the WORST Windows operating system that has ever been released. It’s garbage really, and the only reason it’s on this computer is because I bought this pre-built system when my main computer went on the fritz last time…and The spare computer I bought came with Vista pre-installed on it.

Now I sit here eagerly waiting my main computers triumphant return! In the mean time I am quite content with this spare computer. It may not be ultra-fast, but it gets the important things done, and I love it for that! 😀
