The new season of Walking Dead started back a few weeks ago on AMC. So far, I am not disappointed, however I am really hoping it lasts more than six episodes, but I have a feeling each season will be six episodes. Now, normally I wouldn’t complain about a six episode season, but six episodes just isn’t enough to hold me over for a full year, and I am sure I am not the only one. To be honest, I almost forgot about the show.

However, in the end, I am going to enjoy whatever AMC decides to give me. Six episodes or more. Although I am totally going to hope for more. Just sayin’.

I do admit though, this Zombie craze is getting out of hand though. Don’t get me wrong, I fucking love zombies! I was loving Zombies long before it was cool to love them! However, there can be too much of a good thing. So, how do I know Zombie Love has reached that stage of “Too much of a good thing”? Well, my first clue was when Zombies started turning up in Call of Duty Games, and then when more zombie games than I could count started appearing on shelves. Most recently when comics started having The Crew of the Enterprise battle hordes of the undead.

However, what really made me shake my head and say “Enough is enough!” is when a local furniture store had a commercial featuring Zombies, who apparently were really sleepy after a hard day of brain sucking, and needed to buy some beds…I think.

So, bottom line, keep the zombie stuff flowing, I love it! However, slow it down a little.

Next month is my birthday, and I have been toying with the idea of getting myself a present. Not something like a game, or a toaster, I am referring to a kick-ass kind of present! The kind of present nobody else would think to get me, and one that will keep on giving to the day that I die! So, what kind of present am I going on about already? The answer is simple: A new me.

Well, maybe not a full-blown “New Me”, but perhaps a Name Change. I think it would be interesting to have my name legally changed. It’s not overly expensive, in fact I think it’s only like a hundred and fifty bucks. However, I don’t know what kind of rules they have for legal name changes, so That’s something I would have to look into. The reason I am curious about rules is because I obviously wouldn’t want to change my name to something normal like “John Smith”. If I am going to plop down $150.00 then I want something unique, something that will make others go “Whaaat?”, Something like JACK ZOMBIEKILLER!

How kick-ass would that be? Phone rings, a woman calls me, asks “Is Debra there?” “Nope, you must have the wrong number.” “Oh, who is this?” “This? This is none other than Jack Zombiekiller!” Oh yea! Now that’s a name that would never get old, and that I would never get tired of. I would anxiously be waiting for someone to ask to see some form of ID so I can whip it out and be like; “The name’s Jack. Jack Zombiekiller!”

zombiepinupIt’s almost time to kiss this past year goodbye and to ring in a brand spanking new one! New year means lots of things to many people. To some, it’s a time to make new resolutions to break, and for others it’s a time where they can start fresh and forget about all the crap that’s been hounding them the previous year.

However, one thing will ALWAYS be true! With each new year, you need new calendars! What better Calander is there than Zombie pin-ups calendars? Sure, pin-ups are a dime a dozen, but undead ones? Not so common.

Lucky for you, it’s not as impossible as you might think to obtain such a zombierific calendar! I have stumbled upon a website that sells the little buggers! Perfect for any zombie fan!

Check out “My Zombie Pin up” to order yourself one, and to check out the zombie pin-up ladies from the rest of the year!

Leftfor Dead

Recently some new Downloadable Content became available on Xbox Live for what is one of my favorite games. The game is called Left 4 Dead, and as most of you know, it takes place during a Zombie apocalypse. You play one of 4 survivors and try to make your way to safety, blowing the heads off of any infected who come running at you. You can also play online with others as either a group of survivors, or a horde of flesh eating infected zombies.

So, anyway they recently released a couple new DLC items. Originally left4dead only had 2 of the 4 campaigns available in the online play modes. However in one DLC they unlocked the other 2. Which means more online playability which means more Yayness for me! On top of that, they also released a new campaign! Granted, the campaign is only 2 levels and is VERY short, but who’s going to complain? It’s more added zombie slaying goodness!

Needless to say these 2 DLC items has more than renewed my interest in Left 4 Dead, in fact I can’t bloody well stop playing!

jolly-rogerOk, so im sure most of you have heard of the captain being held by pirates, and like most everyone you have heard of the daring rescue of this captain who is getting referred to all over the place as a hero. You have also I am sure heard that the pirates have vowed revenge against the U.S., and Obama pledging to fight piracy! So, I am thinking this; Why should we?

I mean, why do we got to pledge to fight against piracy. Why not just get together a bunch of ninjas, and send em over to take out the pirates? I mean, seriously…We all know ninjas are way cooler than pirates. If it had been ninjas that was holding the captain hostage, the outcome would have been sooooo different..Unless they were zombie or ghost pirates..but that would be just silly!

On another note, I think lately people throw the term “Hero” around way too often these days. It seems like everytime I turn around, there’s the new flavor of the day. Whats worse is you can become a “Hero” for pretty much anything, and if it’s lacking that “Pazazz” to make people want to jump up and cheer, don’t worry! The media will hype pretty much everything up to make you you look like the best thing to come around since jesus! Well, that is unless they need a villian then you will be made to look like the anti-christ.

left4deadValve is releasing what i believe to be one spiffy game! The game is called Left 4 Dead and it does involve zombies. As an added bonus, these aren’t your slow moving zombies…heck no! These are the Super-fast-moving-zombies-that-travel-in-giant groups kinda zombies…….but with a twist! See? The zombies are changing. Some are getting abilities…Everything from sploding goop onto people and attracting masses of zombies..To throwing out a long grabber thing and wrapping around the prey and dragging you to it….and if you’re the unfortunate survivor that falls prey to one of these “Super-Zombies” then you are going to need the help of your fellow survivors t get free…Did I mention this was an on-line Co-op game?

Yep! You go online, and help your fellow survivors escape the city. You play one of 4 characters, and blast a trail through brain-eating zombies until you get to a safe spot…then, you rest up, gear up and move on. your survivor buddies will rely on your bullets, and your aid in patching them up, just as you will rely on them. After all, its a “Help or be eatin'” world out there now!

Not a fan of playing with others? Dont like going online? No worries, yo can alway play offline in solo mode with computer controlled allies. This in some ways is more efficient yet in other ways its more hassle..Solo mode you don’t have your allies running off ahead leaving you to get pulled to your death by a zombie group, and if something goes screwy…well, you only have yourself to blame….on the down side, the NPCs aren’t very bright, and in many cases you will be doing most of the intelligent stuff. Sometimes its easier haing quick thinking pawns…errr..people doing the hard stuff while you stand back and…erm…guard the back position.

The demo was released both on PC [STEAM] as well as XBOX Live, since it’s going to be released for BOTH the Xbox360 and the PC as well, so whichever is your gaming platform of choice, you can get it. I personally have yet to decide which gaming platform im going to go with. On the Xbox 360 its obviously going to run just as smooth on your system, as it does someone elses…HOWEVER on the PC, there likely going to be MODs and expansions. (Kinda like the zombie mod that was released for halflife 2…god, i wish that was available as down loadable content on the Xbox live service!)….The choices, the choices….

Zombies creeping around the sewers? Read the original news article or read it quoted here for easy reading.

It sounds like something out of a Hollywood blockbuster.

But staff at a sewage works have called in a ghostbuster because they are being stalked by a zombie-like figure who roams the underground tunnels.

Workers at Southern Water’s treatment plant in Eastbourne, East Sussex, said they have been scared to enter tunnels after being followed about by a “humanoid figure” as they went about their jobs.

Mark Wey, a sewage treatment worker, got permission from his bosses to hire a paranormal investigator to launch an investigation into the sewage spirits.

Mr Wey hired parapsychologist Michael Kingscote who paid the tunnels a visit.

The clairvoyant said: “There seems to be one particular area that’s giving people the creeps. People have seen and felt things.”

Mr Wey said: “Michael instantly detected someone standing there and he was suspicious there was something quite unusual there.

“The conclusion is, we can’t prove it is haunted because of strong electromagnetic fields, which can cause the illusion of being haunted, the feeling of being touched or watched, but there is definitely paranormal activity.

“People feel uneasy when they enter the building and the hairs on the back of your neck go up.

“A lot of people don’t like going in there. You can hear voices in the tunnels.”

Mr Wey said the figure, which followed workers about often laughed at them and staff could hear “muffled conversations” coming from behind the tunnel walls.

Another worker said: “I believe in ghosts and I’m sure there’s something in there. I dread doing the night shift.

“It’s not funny going to work and worrying that a zombie might be around the corner.”

A Southern Water spokesman said: “Mr Wey has a personal interest in the afterlife and found our underground site at Eastbourne somewhat spooky.

“We hope the findings weren’t too frightening.”
