Summer is drawing closer and closer. I dread it’s arrival. I am really not a huge fan of the season. In fact, I will go as far as saying that I hate it. Maybe I detest it so much because I live in a damn desert? Yea, that’s probably why. The heat gets unbearable, and we have several heat related deaths. Which is a horrible way to go! Not that there’s really a good way to go, but you get my meaning.

On t the bright side though, we have actually had a very nice Spring. Usually we don’t have a spring. We have winter and then when the rest of the world is enjoying their spring, we are hit with 100 degree summer heat. This year was different though! In fact, I actually enjoyed the spring! Wasn’t too hot, wasn’t too cold. Lots of rain. It was perfect! Although, that should be coming to a crashing halt this week! According to our local news, the heat will gradually be increasing and toward the end of the week, we will be stuck with summer heat.

I can’t wait for Fall!

Winter brings with it many great things. One of those great things of course is Snow, and this winter it’s apparently bringing snow to all kinds of odd locations. Places that don’t normally get snow, or waking up and finding their streets covered in the cold icyness of snowflakes. So, I have decided to add some snow fall to my blog, at least for awhile, since it seems like every place on earth is getting hit with a flurry of snow, I didn’t want my poor little blog to feel out.

So, when viewing my blog, be sure and keep yourself bundled up, cause boy is it cold out there!

Well, Winter is here in full force now! It’s snowing in places where snow oughta not be falling, People are freezing to death in their sleep, and of course christmas is creeping up closer with each passing day. Winter is a great time to bundle up under blankets, snuggle with someone you love, drink hot cocoa, eat hot popcorn, sit in front of a blazing fireplace and of course it is a time to build snowmen! That is unless you’re one of the people who ended up freezing to death of course.

So, in honor of winter, which just so happens to be my most favoritest season, Here is a Winter themed Strip, and as an added bonus, it doesn’t contain any of the GameGuys regulars. In fact, it doesn’t include ANYONE! Unless of course you consider talking snowmen someone but, that would be crazy 😯

Well, it’s nearly christmas time, and people are getting all christmasy and all that. I however am not one of those people. I am not really a big fan of xmas, and I haven’t been for awhile. My house is void of an xmas tree, No carols are echoing within the walls of my home and no stockings are being hung by the chimney with care. True, I don’t really have a chimney, so even if I wanted to, I couldn’t hang one up.

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not a modern day scrooge, if you stop me in the street and wish me a merry christmas I won’t reply with snarled ‘Bah Humbug!’, in fact I will wish you a merry christmas as well, and possibly throw in a happy new year. See? Not very scroogelike.

Quite simply, I don’t really celebrate christmas. I don’t have plans to ruin christmas for others, or trying to get a law passed that makes it illegal to sing carols outside my house. That’s all a personal choice, and everyone is entitled to their own choices. I just choose not to celebrate it.

So, why don’t I join in the festivities? Well, to begin with I am an atheist. I don’t believe in god, and if you ask any religious person they will happily tell you that jesus is the reason for the season. Since I don’t believe in God I obviously don’t believe the son of god popped out of a virgin. So, whats the point in celebrating the birth of what I believe to be a fictional character. Does anyone celebrate the birth of Indiana Jones or Buck Rogers? No, they most certainly do not! So, basically when it’s all said and done, Christmas to me is as special as a thursday.

To top that off, the holidays for me are a really bad time, like they are for most. So, I prefer to curl up in bed, read a book, drink some coffee and just relax.
