New Year Wish

I wish there were such a thing as a cerebral dictation device. If such a thing was ever released to the general public, do you know who would be first in line with credit card in hand? This guy! Yeah, This guy, that’s who!

The reason I even desire such a device is because it would make porn surfing much easier! No longer would I have to type in search queries into Google image search with only one hand!

I suppose I could also use it for other things, particularly blogging. In fact, I believe it might be at least equally useful for Blogging, as it would for Porn surfing! After all, there are many times that I am doing some mundane activity somewhere away from the computer, when inspiration hits! I could be taking a shower, and get inspired to write about the plight of the rain forest, I could be taking out trash and be zapped with inspiration regarding pollutants that contaminate our air, I could be taking a crap, and be reminded about that time I a giant boulder fell in front of our car during a long road trip!

When inspiration does hit me, I write this huge blog entry in my mind! usually a great one! A Blog entry that re-defines what we consider to be Epic! An entry that would inspire awe among the masses, that would make people pause and think. At the very least, make people stop and scratch their head as they exclaim “What the Fuckery?”. These are the types of blog entries that I mentally write, that never make it to physical or digital form, as the case may be.

So, why don’t I write them you ask? That’s a great question I reply!

Fact of the matter is, I have every intention of writing it, but the thing is, by the time I get anywhere near a computer with an internet connection, one of several things happens.

1) I sit at the computer and suddenly get bombarded by emails, Skype messages and/or calls. Many of these people are friends and/or family. Basically people I love and am close to. People who take priority over a blog post, so I go and respond to these people. Since I am a gentleman, I give them my complete attention. When our chats/discussions are over, I usually have forgotten all about the blog post I wanted to make!

2) I sit down at the computer, get ready to open my browser and “Accidentally” click the shortcut to “Star Wars: The Old Republic“, and when that happens? Well, you can just forget about anything else happening that night!

3) I just plain forget! I mean, I mentally write a huge ass entry! It’s a little difficult to remember all the ins and outs. Sure, I still have the basic idea, but when I sit down and start blogging on the topic, I can’t think of what to say! See, I find it hard to blog on command. It just comes so much easier to me, when I’m not even trying and especially when I am not ready.

Now, I have considered carrying a digital recorder around with me, so that I can record my thoughts as they creep up, and then transcribe those audio logs into digital blog form, but that requires talking into a digital recorded. You know, where people can hear me! Have you read my blog? I talk about some dumb ass shit on here! Stuff that would make the locals think I was super paladin nerd! I got a rep to protect man!

So anyway! Yeah, we need a mental dictation device. Especially for the added bonus of porn surfing ease.

Hacking Twitter? Seriously?

Well, today is off to a lovely start! Shortly after today officially started(I.E. A little after Midnight), I logged into my twitter account, only to find that it had been hacked! Seriously? People hack twitter accounts? That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard of in my life.

Anyway, after my account was hacked, it was used to spam the hell out of my followers, and pretty much everyone. Not exactly sure what they were spamming, since I sure as hell wasn’t going to click one of those links. Looked to be mainly “Easy Cash” scam links, with a few “Porn” links thrown in, just because.

I have regained my twitter account though, so that’s good. However, the spammers ended up causing the majority of my followers to quit following me. Not only that, but many of the people I had been following kicked me and banned me from following them.

So, yeah..wonderful start to a day!

What a Google Street View!

The internet if nothing else, is a great way to pass time when you are bored. With sites like Mindjolt, Crackle, Twitter, TMZ and of course visiting random blogs(Which, if I might add, is what 90% of my readerbase is from! Hello random blog reader!).

My personal choices for time killing websites though is Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook, Second Life and Google Street view.

Google Street view you ask? Yes! What is it I do on there? Well, that varies. Most of the time I will pick some random location from somewhere around the world, then use google street view to explore it! Other times I will stroll around areas I used to live. Sometimes, it’s a good time killer, other times you stumble across things like this!

Now, Google has a habit of removing things from street view, when something get’s mentioned on the interwebs, so in case you go there, and see a black screen or see the side of a building, I will also include a picture of how it looks at the time of this writing.

 

Forgive WHAT?!

So, I sat down today, and flipped on the television. One thing I try to do at least once a day, is watch a little news. You know, so I can be informed, and not have to worry about some major disaster happening, while I sit totally oblivious watching old star trek re-runs.

Anyway, I flip over to HLN (HeadLine News) and take a quick listen, and the first thing that pops up in big bold text is “Do You Forgive Him?”. The question is in regards to the whole Tiger Woods incident. Apparently, the fact that he cheated is so unbelievable, that even after a year, the news agencies are refusing to just let it go.

Personally, I don’t see the big deal. People cheat! It may come as a bit of a shocker, but they do. It’s a sad truth. Movie Stars, Actors, Sports Figures and Political figures are not exempt. That being said, I have to wonder, why the news is asking in a poll if we forgive him? I’m sorry? Was he cheating with all of our spouses? Is that it? If not, then I don’t think it really concerns me, you or anyone. It’s a private affair, and he doesn’t need anyone to forgive him, but his wife, because she’s the only one who has been hurt. His fans? He didn’t do jack to them!

God, I hate when people sit around and expect a celebrity to appologise to them, for something the star did to someone else.

Just sayin’

Lindsay Lohan, in trouble again!

Lindsay Lohan is in trouble yet again apparently! This time around, she has allegedly failed, not one, but two a drug tests. For shame Lindsay! For shame!

What happens to Lindsay now? Well, she apparently was sentenced to remain in custody until october 22nd, with no bail. Only, that’s not exactly what happened! Another Judge stepped in, and granted her bail, so now LiLo is all set.

The moral of this story? It’s good to be famous! I have also learned that Lindsay looks good in mug shots. Hell, she looks hotter in mug shots than she does in most movies. Perhaps she should consider doing some female prison movies.

I would also like to say, that Lindsay isn’t the only celebrity who looks good in mug shots. Paris Hilton does a good mug shot too, although nowhere near as good as LiLo’s!

Busyness!

I know, I have ignored my wee little blog for awhile. Why is that? Well, the answer is I have been EXTREMELY busy. I haven’t even had a whole lot of time to get on the computer at ALL. The source of my busyness? Well, That would be my xbox 360. You see, a buttload of games have been coming out, and not the standard crappy games either. Games like Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and Dragon Age! You can’t just ignore these games when they are released. You must hug them and embrace them and love them and show them the proper attention they deserve.

So, can I really be blamed for my recent disappearance? I think not! On the bright side, I should be burning out soon on the games, which will result in my attention being turned BACK toward my computer. However, if anyone REALLY misses me, I do still Twitter on a daily basis, several times a day, because Twitter can be accessed through Xbox Live! Plus, if you don’t want to go hunting me down on twitter, remember I have my twitter posts displayed here on my blog toward the bottom of the right hand section.

See? Now nobody has to have Shaide withdrawls!

Twittering on Xbox

Ok, so I am participating in the Xbox LIVE update Preview, and I must say I am loving it! It’s so incredible. Your Xbox console becomes three times more useful than it already was, and considering I think the Xbox and the Xbox LIVE service is incredibly useful, that says a lot! It adds Last FM to your console so you can just sit back and listen to some great tunes. It adds Zune to the Xbox, which I prefer to the standard Xbox Video market place. It also adds Twitter to your Xbox Live features! So, you can add or recieve tweets while yer on your Xbox gaming console! Pretty snazzy huh? If that wasn’t enough you can also use your Xbox to hook up to your facebook account and post your current status, or check your friends status..even browse their photos right from the comfort of your Xbox 360 Console.

Incredible? I agree! All it needs now is a built in Pizza ordering program so you can order pizza without stepping away from your Xbox, and then I could just plant myself in front of my TV and Xbox, and just live there!

There are some options I wish Xbox had of course, like it bugs me that you still cant talk to someone on your MSN contact list through Voice while on Xbox live. It limits you to just text messages which gets annoying after awhile, especially if you are trying to watch a video or play a game. I would also LOVE to see a built in Email reader. If Microsoft blended Hotmail into their service I would switch from Gmail back to hotmail without a second thought.

Also, of course an internet browser would be ULTRA cool, that’s one of the only thing that makes me envy PS3 owners. It’s not the few exclusive titles, in fact I think the exclusive titles pretty much suck on the PS3 and those kind of make me feel sorry for them. It’s not even the Blu-Ray! While that’s KIND of cool, it’s not a big deal. I am fine with DVD, hell I would be fine with VHS…If it’s a movie and it plays, im cool with it! Format doesn’t matter to me.

The ONLY thing I am envious of is that they have a web browser. I’m not sure how well it works, but it’s better than the Xbox one. You know, because Xbox doesn’t have one.

Xbox 360 Droolage

I am an Xbox 360 owner. I am not interested in owning a Wii or even a PS3(Although there are a few exclusive ps3 titles that DO look to be interesting). I am quite happy with my 360 game system. Everything from the games right down the the EXTREMELY affordable Xbox Live service.

However, there’s some things coming this way for 360 owners that has me drooling. So, I decided I would share with you the things im looking forward to most.

Twitter – Yea, Twitter is getting intergrated with the xbox live service. So, you can send and recieve twitter posts right from the comfort of your living room couch.

Facebook – Yea, apparently Facebook is getting added to the Xbox Live service too…How cool right?

Combine those with the already available netflix addon, yer pretty much good to go! The only other things I would like to see, is a Gmail addon and maybe a basic browser without java/cookies/flash kinda thang.

Splintercell: Conviction – Newest Splinter cell game! Was due out way back in ’07 but according to the folks at ubisoft this time it REALLY will make it by this coming christmas.

Alan Wake – I don’t know a whole lot about this game, but it looks pretty damn sweet and made by the brainiacs who did Max Paine. Nuff said!

Ghostbusters – C’mon! It’s Ghostbusters! What’s not to drool about? Plus from what I hear its got the whole original cast doing the voices. if that doesn’t make you jizz in your pants, then you CLEARLY are not geek enough to hang with me.
