Age of Conan

Ok, so im sure some of you have heard of the MMORPG Age of Conan (Known here on as AoC). If you haven’t then you really should look into it. The game looks incredible, and certainly worth checking out. My only complaint is, unlike on other MMORPGs AoC does not offer a free trial from their website.

This sort of bugs me. Why? Because I desperately want to play this, but I have heard the controls are clumbsy and things that the game could be improved on in various areas. Some people however dont know what they are talking about, however I don’t want to purchase this game and end up finding out…yea, ok…everyones right…it kind of sucks.

Also, the fact that they dont have a trial on their website available like most games….kinda sends up a red flag that the game sorta sucks….and that they kinda sorta know it sucks too.

If however the game isn’t as bad as I have heard…I will happily buy and subscribe to the game. As it is though, I am happy with Lord of the Rings Online, and at least I know that doesnt suck….so, until I can see if AoC sucks, im just going to play it safe and stick to LotRO………..But…….

PLEASE put out a freakin AoC trial!

Boredom sinks in…

Well, as I mentioned earlier I have been playing a lot of Guild Wars lately..As a matter of fact I finished up the campaign in prophecies, and unlocked “Hardmode”. Im not much of a “Hard Mode” player though, so probably wont be trying that out. Which means I havent a clue what I am going to be doing. I could play the expansion packs, but in all honesty those are a LITTLE bit of a letdown…I think. Though my opinion could be based on the fact that I havent really given it a chance…so..I think I will do that.

Still got Guildwars….

Remember a few days ago I mentioned how my main computer was having issues and that I was having to use an emergency computer? Also remember how I said that emergency computer couldn’t run any of my MMORPGs?

Well, I am STILL on the spare computer, and it still runs slow. However! A friend of mine helped me clear off some of the useless and pointless pre-installed Acer crap on the system, and that managed to speed it up a wee little bit! Not by leaps and bounds mind you, but sped up a touch. It was sped up enough so that I can at the VERY least still Play Guild Wars. Which is fine, because at the moment GW is my primary MMORPG addiction, followed by Lord of the Rings Online(Which also does play, just not worth playing..it’s jerky and the graphic textures are forced so low its not even nice looking)…

So, until my main comp gets bandaged up, I am stuck only being able to play Guildwars, but its an excellent game, and better than nothing right? Right!

Not to be mean….

Ok, first I want to CLEARLY state that I don’t intend for this post to come across as mean. Meaness was DEFINATELY not my intention. Shaide does not do mean. I am a nice loveable yet whacky kinda guy. Not a mean jerkwad. This post is because I am actually unsure of something….That being said, on to the actual question/comment/point of the blogpost.

MMORPGs are all the rage these days, I think every company either has one running, had one running or currently has one in the works. If you don’t know what an MMORPG is, then you probably aren’t into online gaming..but essentially its online role playing games..Like Everquest, World of Warcraft or Ultima Online. Hundreds of players play along side you or against you in these types of games.

A common thing on MMORPGs is “RL Photos” people really get curious who they are playing against..They want to know the face behind that lvl 70 Undead Warlock who keeps “Pwning” them while they quest. Im not exactly sure why, but thats what happens.

A free online RPG called Tales of Pirates is no different. On their website they have a section devoted to RL photos of their playerbase…and I browsed through a couple while I was sitting here at my desk being bored out of my skull. One picture caught my eye, and this is where some of you might think I am being mean…But I am NOT! Ok, enough trying to explain myself…My question is this..Is this person a male or female?? I feel a little stupid and embarassed, but I just don’t know the answer! I THINK the person might be female?
