Well, the trailer for the new Ghostbusters Reboot trailer has arrived today! If I am being honest here, I am not overly thrilled with it. I had planned on seeing it before watching the trailer, but not after watching the trailer. Feel free to take a look yourself.

The movie just doesn’t seem to have the same charm as the original Ghostbusters. It looks like it relies mostly on crude jokes, instead of good writing. Though to be fair, I could be way off! It’s hard to judge a movie by it’s trailer. There’s a chance that the film could be awesome! However, I am not holding my breath for that. I would be happy if it’s just watchable.

One thing I do have an issue with though is, why are the three scientists white and the one black woman has to be a street wise tough gal. It’s kind of like in the original Ghostbuster movies, Winston was the only non-scientist and was the only black man in the group. What is it with Ghostbusters? Do they feel African Americans can’t be scientists? It’s kind of stupid for a movie that’s trying so desperately to be politically correct by flipping the gender card, that they would stick to the same “Only white people can be scientists” formula.

Whatever…I’ll probably still watch it, but I’m not longer looking forward to it any longer.

Anyone else have an opinion on it? Good or bad? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time

Yesterday, on Xbox Live, Microsoft had a bit of a black friday sale on some of their arcade games, Some were really good prices, others not so much. Included in the good priced games, was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Turtles in Time Re-shelled, which originally is 800 Microsoft Points, but was lowered to 120 points yesterday.

Seeing as how I had 300 extra points after my recent DLC purchase, and seeing as how you can’t really do anything with 300 points normally, and seeing as how Turtles in Time was one of my favorite SNES titles back in the day, I went ahead and made the purchase.

After buying, and downloading the game I quickly began playing it. When I first started playing, I was flooded with nostalgic memories of my gaming yesteryears! That feeling of Nostalgia alone was worth it! I enjoyed it now, just as much as I enjoyed it then.

One thing to remember with this game, is that it’s a button masher. There’s not much to the game, other than smashing the buttons down, until the bad guy is K.O.’ed. That’s the whole basis of the game, that’s how games were back in the day! Games didn’t have huge epic storylines, they didn’t take days or weeks to finish. In fact, many games could be finished in one sitting. So, if you go into TMNT Turtles In Time, thinking you are going to be treated to a long epic story, that will give days of enjoyment, you would be wrong.

What you will get, is a classic gaming experience, with updated graphics and an hour or so of pure mindless bad guy thumping entertainment, that you can play through all by your lonesome, or with a buddy!

However, one of the things I like best about this game, is the new graphics! They are gorgeous! How gorgeous? Let me show you a picture containing a before and After screen, just so you can get an idea of the visual enhancement.

My only complaint, is that you can’t switch between old school classic graphics, and updated enhanced graphics. I mean, sure the new graphics are great, but sometimes, I like a full-blown retro gaming experience.

I thought love was only true in fairytales
Meant for someone else but not for me
Love was out to get me,that’s the way it seemed
Dissappointment haunted all my dreams

Then I saw her face
Now I’m a believer.
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind.
I’m in love
(ooooooaaaahhh)
I’m a believer, I couldn’t leave her
if I tried

I thought love was more or less a given thing
The more I gave the less I got, Oh Yeah
What’s the use of trying
All you get is pain
When I wanted sunshine I got rain

Then I saw her face,
Now i’m a believer.
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind.
I’m in love
(ooooooaaaaahhhh)
I’m a believer, I couldn’t leave her
if I tried

What’s the use in tyring
All you get is pain
When I wanted Sunshine I got rain!

Then I saw her face
Now I’m a believer!
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind
I’m in love
(ooooooaaaahhh)
I’m a believer, I couldn’t leave her
if I tried

Then I saw her face,
Now I’m a believer.
Not a trace
Of doubt in my mind.
I’m a believer, yeah yeah yeah yeah yeahhaah….

Im a Believer

[They should remake em]Recently I have started digging around through my old Xbox video game titles, playing games like Jade Empire, and Knights of the Old Republic along with a handful of other titles that I have enjoyed over the years.

While rummaging through all my old game titles I came across Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which is part 2 of the Grand Theft Auto 3 Trilogy. Obviously, I decided to play it, then decided to play Grand Theft auto 3 and San Andreas as well. These games still are quite fun, despite being several years old. My only problem with the games is that the controls are pretty much crap. I even remember thinking that at the time. They just didn’t work the way they should! Targeting was a pain in the ass, Driving a pain in the ass, The fact that you couldn’t pan your camera around was annoying as all fuck. I hated that you had to spin your actual character around to look about the place, or end up going into first person view mode.

That was all crap. The stories however? Well, they were more mission based and the structure was a bit off. It still was a great story! This got me to thinking which doesnt happen very often. I know usually I am against remakes. However in this case, I believe Rockstar should Remake the Grand Theft Auto 3 Trilogy using the euphoria engine as well as some kick ass graphics.

At the VERY least re-release it with the same graphics, enhanced controls to make it more user friendly, and sell it through the Playstation Network and Xbox Marketplace. This would probably be less problematic I would assume, and it would give people a chance to experience the game trilogy that seemed to cause so much controversy but now would probably be considered laughly tame. Plus, people like me, who own the game and love the game, would but it simply for the enhanced controls.

Although I would REALLY love to see a complete remake.
