Official photographic portrait of US President...

It amazes me about how angry people are about Romney losing the election, I mean, I get being angry. If Romney won, I would be angry myself. So I get that, but today I have seen people verbally attacking other people all across the socialverse because of their political belief. This is insane to me!

Seriously, Do these people honestly and really believe that Romney was going to lead America into this new Golden era of enlightenment? If so, then I have a news flash for you, He wouldn’t have! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think Obama will either, I just think Obama was the lesser of the two evils.

Bottom line, neither was a good choice. Obama just, in my opinion sucked  less(a LOT less). You want to hate me for that? Fine! You want to delete me from all your social website contact lists for that? Fine! People are entitled to their political views. I personally am not deleting people from my twitter or Facebook because of who they think sucked less, because at the end of the day, it’s a matter of opinion. I will delete people for their intolerance though, which sadly I am seeing a lot of this morning.

Happy new year! 2012 has finally come, which means absolutely nothing really! I’m not sure why people make a big day out of it to be honest. I mean, the only significant aspect of the “Holiday” is switching out calendars, and trying to remember the new date when signing checks. Other than that, there’s absolutely nothing special about the day.

Well, except this year of course. Since, apparently, this is the final year mankind will exist! It’s the end of the world, and we’re all going to die, and this time, it’s true! All the other doomsdays? Those were just practice runs! Clearly, this is it ladies and gentleman! Why? It was predicted, that’s why!

I of course am being sarcastic. I do not think the world will end. Not this year anyway.

However, many people will tell you that it is. Of course, there is a good chance these people could be paranoid, and/or crazy.

Remember, this isn’t the first time people have cried doomsday. In fact, it just recently happened with the Rapture. It seems like it happens every year as a matter of fact. Most famously with the Y2K scare.

Anyway, the whole point of this post was to wish you a happy new year, if you celebrate it. So, Happy new year!

Hand I'm bored

Image via Wikipedia

The internet if nothing else, is a great way to pass time when you are bored. With sites like Mindjolt, Crackle, Twitter, TMZ and of course visiting random blogs(Which, if I might add, is what 90% of my readerbase is from! Hello random blog reader!).

My personal choices for time killing websites though is Wikipedia, YouTube, Facebook, Second Life and Google Street view.

Google Street view you ask? Yes! What is it I do on there? Well, that varies. Most of the time I will pick some random location from somewhere around the world, then use google street view to explore it! Other times I will stroll around areas I used to live. Sometimes, it’s a good time killer, other times you stumble across things like this!

Now, Google has a habit of removing things from street view, when something get’s mentioned on the interwebs, so in case you go there, and see a black screen or see the side of a building, I will also include a picture of how it looks at the time of this writing.

I really hate SPAM sometimes! The email, not the canned meat. I love the canned meat, however the email? Despise it! I mean, you end up getting some pretty awful ones! Seriously!

Just think about it for a second. Seriously, does anyone actually read SPAM? It’s not like it’s hard to tell SPAM from real messages. I mean usually I don’t read SPAM. Although, there have been a few good ones, where the subject line tricked me! Take for instance “Your Blog!” or “account service interruption”, But, usually I don’t fall for them.

However! today, I decided to read one, and it was very “odd” to say the least. What the email Basically told me was that there was a product that could naturally increase my bust size by a whopping 2 sizes! Just Imagine it! me, with a larger bust! Needless to say, I passed on that offer, because quite frankly im fine with my bust size, and if for some reason I felt they needed to be bigger, I would just eat a lot of fattening cheese!

Nintendo recently Released a new Shiny black Wii console. This new console also comes with something called Resort, which is ANOTHER sports package. I do kinda miss the days when Nintendo used to include mario titles with their consoles.

Anyway, I did sit down and play on this new console. Before this I had never played with a Wii, but used to be a HUGE Nintendo fan-boy. So, I was looking forward to it.

I got the system hooked up, the hookup and set-up process did take a while, but this was through no fault of the game console. After finally getting it all set up, I popped in a game and started playing.

I played for approximately 2 hours.

Here’s the bottom line. The game console sucks! I mean, I am not going to sugar coat it. It stinks. At least in my opinion. Granted, I am aware that everyone has their own tastes and preferences, but come on! The game systems horrible!

Where to begin? First, I am getting SO sick and tired of Nintendo trying to make creative controls and interfaces. People don’t REALLY need a dual screen, or a stylus for their portable game systems, and they SURE as hell don’t need to be waving their arms around like a madman when trying to play on a home console. Just give me action buttons and a directional stick/pad or two and I am happy. It’s something EVERYONE is familiar with. Does Nintendo do this though? No! They try to become creative and artsy and again, in my opinion it makes the game consoles suck.

Now, moving on to the graphics. What the hell?! This is a now-gen console? There are games on the PS2 and original Xbox that looks better than the graphics being poured out of the Wii! I’m not saying all games on the Wii look bad. Not at all, there’s a few titles out that make you go “Ah! Now this is Now-gen!” but in most cases? That’s not going to happen. In most cases, the graphics are horrible.

What else could possibly suck about this system? Well, to begin with, all it does is play Games. I know, it’s a game system! That’s kinda what it’s supposed to do, but come on! This is the age of next-gen game consoles! Consoles don’t just play games! They do everything! 360 plays DVDs, has an easy to use twitter and Facebook interface. PS3 plays Blu-Ray, and probably has similar twitter and Facebook applications.. The Wii doesn’t do ANYTHING aside from playing games.

Well, it DOES have a little Opera Internet browser you can download, thus allowing you to surf the web from the comfort of your own TV, but that’s not all that spiffy. The PS3 does that too! Plus the PS3 allows you to watch Blu-Ray, and play games with good graphics.

Ok, there are SOME upsides to the Wii. It’s not ALL bad. The Wii will allow you to watch Netflix View instantly movies on your TV. Which is a handy feature, but the thing is in order to use this feature, you need to have Netflix send you a “Netflix disc” which stick in your Wii and presto! You can watch their view instantly movies through your Wii.

Keep in mind though, the PS3 and the 360 both allow you to watch Netflix View instantly movies as well, plus those consoles don’t require you to wait on a disc to be mailed to you before you start using the service.

All in all, I truly believe the Wii is a failure. The cost is the same as a 360, and for a hundred more bucks, you can get a PS3. Both consoles completely overshadow the Wii. Both in features and performance. I would SERIOUSLY suggest you look at other game systems before you run out and get a Wii. Yes, the controls are novel and unique. However, Unique doesn’t always mean good. It just means nobody else has done it before, and to be honest, there might be a good reason why nobody has done it before!

My how the mighty have fallen. Nintendo used to be great! I’m not sure what happened.

Ok, so I am participating in the Xbox LIVE update Preview, and I must say I am loving it! It’s so incredible. Your Xbox console becomes three times more useful than it already was, and considering I think the Xbox and the Xbox LIVE service is incredibly useful, that says a lot! It adds Last FM to your console so you can just sit back and listen to some great tunes. It adds Zune to the Xbox, which I prefer to the standard Xbox Video market place. It also adds Twitter to your Xbox Live features! So, you can add or recieve tweets while yer on your Xbox gaming console! Pretty snazzy huh? If that wasn’t enough you can also use your Xbox to hook up to your facebook account and post your current status, or check your friends status..even browse their photos right from the comfort of your Xbox 360 Console.

Incredible? I agree! All it needs now is a built in Pizza ordering program so you can order pizza without stepping away from your Xbox, and then I could just plant myself in front of my TV and Xbox, and just live there!

There are some options I wish Xbox had of course, like it bugs me that you still cant talk to someone on your MSN contact list through Voice while on Xbox live. It limits you to just text messages which gets annoying after awhile, especially if you are trying to watch a video or play a game. I would also LOVE to see a built in Email reader. If Microsoft blended Hotmail into their service I would switch from Gmail back to hotmail without a second thought.

Also, of course an internet browser would be ULTRA cool, that’s one of the only thing that makes me envy PS3 owners. It’s not the few exclusive titles, in fact I think the exclusive titles pretty much suck on the PS3 and those kind of make me feel sorry for them. It’s not even the Blu-Ray! While that’s KIND of cool, it’s not a big deal. I am fine with DVD, hell I would be fine with VHS…If it’s a movie and it plays, im cool with it! Format doesn’t matter to me.

The ONLY thing I am envious of is that they have a web browser. I’m not sure how well it works, but it’s better than the Xbox one. You know, because Xbox doesn’t have one.

eBay/Paypal and MillerCoors are donating a cent per #beatcancer hashtag (via tweet, Facebook update, or blog post). The campaign is aiming for a Guinness World Record “for the distribution of the largest mass message through social media” in one day.

So, if you use twitter remember to tweet #beatcancer today.

Ok, as everyone who’s EVERYONE knows, I love games. It’s my weakness. I also love Zombies, but after Zombies I adore a good mafia/gangster story. As well everyone should, am I right? Well, is it any big surprise that I am currently hooked on the facebook application called Mobsters 2?

It’s a sequel obviously, hence the number 2 located at the end of the name. Now, the original started out on Myspace I believe, and quite honestly, I thought the game stunk. I still do. I don’t like the game at all, which is odd, because playwise theres not a lot of difference between the two versions. I just quite simply prefer the second one.

One difference about Mobsters 2 is that there is actually a storyline. Which makes it more gamelike. I suppose that’s probably what my main interest is. I mean, without a story its just a button clicking game, and honestly I don’t see how anyone could get any enjoyment out of sitting around just pushing a button every few minutes…I mean the survivors of oceanic flight 815 sure as hell didn’t enjoy pushing a button every little bit!

Anyway, yea I am hooked on that game, which oddly enough I am not overly popular! In fact a good number of people seem to hate me, and wish me bodily harm! :O I mean, I am my usual loving kind and caring self in there as well…whats not to love? seriously! I love me!

I am an Xbox 360 owner. I am not interested in owning a Wii or even a PS3(Although there are a few exclusive ps3 titles that DO look to be interesting). I am quite happy with my 360 game system. Everything from the games right down the the EXTREMELY affordable Xbox Live service.

However, there’s some things coming this way for 360 owners that has me drooling. So, I decided I would share with you the things im looking forward to most.

Twitter – Yea, Twitter is getting intergrated with the xbox live service. So, you can send and recieve twitter posts right from the comfort of your living room couch.

Facebook – Yea, apparently Facebook is getting added to the Xbox Live service too…How cool right?

Combine those with the already available netflix addon, yer pretty much good to go! The only other things I would like to see, is a Gmail addon and maybe a basic browser without java/cookies/flash kinda thang.

Splintercell: Conviction – Newest Splinter cell game! Was due out way back in ’07 but according to the folks at ubisoft this time it REALLY will make it by this coming christmas.

Alan Wake – I don’t know a whole lot about this game, but it looks pretty damn sweet and made by the brainiacs who did Max Paine. Nuff said!

Ghostbusters – C’mon! It’s Ghostbusters! What’s not to drool about? Plus from what I hear its got the whole original cast doing the voices. if that doesn’t make you jizz in your pants, then you CLEARLY are not geek enough to hang with me.
